The spectral-kinetic properties of a Y3Al5O12:Nd laser crystal are studied in this work. A technique for recording the luminescence decay is being studied. Upon excited by laser diode at 808 nm, the lifetime of the energy level 4F3/2 of Nd3+ ions is measured. Using the obtained experimental data, the Einstein coefficient for spontaneous emission is calculated. Also, the temperature dependences of the semiconductor laser power and the lasing threshold are investigated.
